Hi everyone:),

I am recently using Window Vista and I have some troubles finding the Trados toolbar when I open a Word document, because with Vista things are a little bit different. When I used XP, after installing Trados, this toolbar appeared instantly afterwards in Word. However, there is no trace of this toolbar since I started working with Vista.

I am grateful for any suggestions.

Best regards,

Anca

What is your version of Microsoft Office? Jun 25, 2008

Dear Anca,

If you have the MS 2007, I'm afraid Trados, at least version 7, does not work with Vista + Word 2007.

The same happened to me and I had to reinstall Word 2003 to be able to see the Trados toolbar.

I hope this helps!

Giovany.

Hi Anca,
I also have Windows Vista + i have MS Office 2007 + SDL Trados 2007 with SP2. So having all this stuff I have no problem with the Trados Toolbar. It was installed automatically when installing Trados. If you have MS Word 2007, there is a special Tab in the Word, it's called SDL Trados (it appears automatically once you've installed Trados). But if you have MS Word 2003, then you should turn on Trados toolbar in your Word toolbars (you should go to Word toolbars and place a check mark near the Trados toolbar).
I hope my reply was useful

Best regards,

Hello Anca,

Trados 7 will not work with Microsoft Word 2007. Simply because it is much older than Word 2007 and requires a different template format.

However, if you are using SDL Trados 2007 then your toolbar will work in Word 2007. The problem may be with the template itself so I advise you to replace it by using the guide from the following article from our SDL Knowled
