Bio
German and Italian to English translator, with experience of working in education and museums and cultural institutions in the UK and Austria.
As a translator I have worked with the afore mentioned specialisms of education, pedagogy and museology as well as other core specialisms such as marketing and product information as well as technical specifications and in the process mastered these also. Due to my interests I am an expert in handling texts on food, beverages and cookery, whether that be recipes, marketing or technical documents on distillation and brewing. Furthermore I am experienced in working with texts on tourism and hospitality as well as literature and journalism.
Alongside translation I have worked as a teacher of foreign languages in secondary schools in the UK and as a teacher of English as a second language in Austrian schools as well as working as a mentor of English as a Second Language in the UK.
Aside from education I have a Masters by research in Art History from the University of Birmingham and I have worked as a museum assistant in the National Museum of Wales after volunteering as an engagement officer in the Museum of Folk Life (Volkskundemuseum Wien) in Vienna.
In summary, I have a wealth and depth of experience that makes me a valued and trusted translator.
