German term

ventrales Fibulaköpfchen

German to English Medical Medical (general) Anatomie
I know we've had "Fibulaköpfchen" before, but I am getting very confused with the "ventral" bit - I thought there is only one Fibulaköpfchen, so where does the ventral come from? Or is it "anterior"? Does that make any more sense? Help!!!

The context: this is the Swiss report of an MRI of the knee. Under "femorotibial" the findings are:

Kein Knorpelschaden. .... Umschriebenes Ödem am ventralen Fibulaköpfchen". Tibiofibulares Gelenk sonst unauffällig.

Thank you for your help, as always!
