The read-only background glossary BG contains more than 1 million term pairs, so it gets all the vertical space that is available (49 lines).

The QA and active glossary are positioned close to the segment editors, so that minimal mouse moves are required (select term pair, click in either of the panes to add).

The 5 MT engines are positioned directly below the target segment editor, to reduce eye travel. Their order is based on their usage frequency and their keyboard

The memory pane is also positioned right below the target segment editor, for obvious reasons.
