Do you mean FB and the like? I’m not on social networks. In my experience the only thing work-wise is connecting to peers in case you need help, but I still prefer Proz...

Nor am I, apart from LinkedIn. But I haven't had any work through LinkedIn for a very long time.

I decided long ago that things like Facebook, Twitter, etc. were pernicious and to be avoided.
