anuric

Seems to me the context requires the formal term (and direct translation).

Actually, your answer wasn't on my screen when I posted mine (I guess I'm rather slow...), otherwise I would have guessed the spelling mistake and agreed with yours. Thank!
disagree Mohamed Mehenoun : see http://cancerweb.ncl.ac.uk/cgi-bin/omd?anuretic can't you use for free google.com ? google it :d//by google I mean medical documentation on google which gives an insight on what docs use = better than a dic.

Well, 'anuretic' is not recognised by my Shorter English Oxford Dictionary (Fifth Edition) (I can't afford the £1000 of the full version!), so I disagree with your disagreement.//We rely way too much on Google;maybe we have no choice, but makes me nervous
agree Bourth (X) : Oh, well, if we're gonna be serious about this, I'd better agree with you. I must learn to stop taking the ... mickey.

lol. "La patiente avait sa vessie pleine a péter."
agree Sarah Llewellyn : It was a toss-up between your answer and Bourth's and you won.

Anuretic is actually synonymous with anuric. But as a medical practitioner, I always used 'anuric'. See xvsy's answer
agree Bourth (X) : Puts Aneurin Bevan in a totally different light!

Thanks, you get points for humor! I'd never heard of this as a name. Seems the Welsh had other ideas! http://www.babyhold.com/list/Welsh_Baby_Names/Aneurin/detail...

Définition :
Tarissement de la sécrétion urinaire.

.

. Note(s) :

anuretic is more widely used ...

disagree Kim Metzger : Anuric is much more common as a medical term.

no offence but you just have to browse the web to be aware of the opposite ... a simple effort should be able to prove me right ...or at least give us some feedback proving you to be right
