Rules than apply when translation a hand-written testimony

I know that testimonies in general are to be translated without any editing of thought, in a literal way, but I would love to have assistance for any other rules that apply to this type of translation.

This is hand-written testimony from a wife explaining different abuse episodes from her husband, and of course, it is a very sensitive document.
