English term

HMDVR

English Tech/Engineering Telecom(munications) TV
" Our HMDVR gives you multi-room capabilities, which means you watch only the shows you’ve recorded when and where you want"

As far as i understand, DVR stands for digital video-recording, but what does HM mean here?

Thank you!

Home Media Digital Video Router I thought Router as a Router splits the system to provide different channels Ie: multi-room capabilities Where as a recorder would not do this...

Home Media Digital Video Router

Looking at in depth the correct definition is "Home Media Digital Video Router"

Hence the posting of it as the answer..

"Our HMDVR gives you multi-room capabilities"

A Router gives:
• Application sharing throughout the home. (The same as in the supplied text)

A Recorder, (Recording is incorrect as a recording is not a piece of equipment, it is a media like a CD, DVD Disc, card or a Tape) cannot provide multi-room capabilities unless it is connected to a Router

Router..
Audio video matrix switches switch audio and video from many computers among multiple monitors and speakers.
(All new Home Theater and Home media systems are computer controlled so come under the definition of a computer even though they are a Video or Audio system)

Note from asker:
Dear Gary! Thank you for your time. It is my fault: I had to add more context. HMDVR allows to watch recorded movies from any room, so I have chosen something like "recording system", although it definitely has also a function of router.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Polangmar : I don't think it's "router" - probably "recorder" (by the way, the question wasn't (mainly) about DVR but (mainly) about HM).
