This is to certify that the placebo batch made at Fisher Clinical Services, Allentown, PA for Bristol- Myers Squibb meets the criteria of acceptability based upon an evaluation of TSE risk conducted in accordance with the BMS Corporate Polley and Program for the Assessment Risk of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies arising from the use of animal derived materials.
All materials used in the manufacture of the placebo are evaluated.
Excipient materials and ancillary or **processing aids** used are of non-animal derived materials except for capsule shell which is contains bovine hide and bovine bones free from skull, vertebrae, and spinal cord and porcine skin and bones.’
Documents from the suppliers/manufacturers have been reviewed and all demonstrate TSE compliance with EMA/410/01 Rev 3, “Note for Guidance on Minimizing Animal Spongiform Encephalopathy Agents via Human and Veterinary Medicinal Products”.

Технологическое вспомогательное средство – вещество или материалы или их производные (за исключением оборудования, упаковочных материалов, изделий и посуды), которые, не являясь компонентами пищевой продукции, преднамеренно используются при переработке продовольственного (пищевого) сырья и (или) при производстве пищевой продукции для выполнения определенных технологических целей и после их достижения удаляются из такого сырья, такой пищевой продукции или остаточные количества которых не оказывают технологического эффекта в готовой пищевой продукции.
