Apologies again Yes, that's what I did, Phil. I used those symbols because they were used in the original text. I didn't know the site would hide the word because it thought it was html. The sentence should read 'l'errore del medico da' origine ad una "responsabilita solidale" impropria della struttura sanitaria e del professionista per il danno cagionato al paziente.' Except that less than and greater than signs were used before and after the word "impropria", presumably to avoid repeating the use of inverted commas, which had already been used around "responsabilita' limitata". Again my apologies for making a pudding of this query, but I tried to edit it after I realised my mistake but the site wouldn't let me.

You must be putting "less than" and "greater than" symbols before and after the word, which makes the site think it's HTML, so it disappears. I assume it says "solidale impropria"

Sorry I don't know what just happened there. I put asterisks before and after the word "impropria" but the actual word disappeared. It should read: "l'errore del medico da' origine ad una "responsabilita solidale" <impropria> della struttura sanitaria e del professionista per il danno cagionato al paziente.
