I have 10 years’ experience of living and working in Japan, including 8 years working as an in-house translator at a Japanese automotive marketing company whose main client is a leading Japanese automaker. I was responsible mainly for translation of technical and marketing documentation for the automotive sector, and also provided bilingual on-site support for events such as new vehicle launch training workshops in Japan and other countries.
Now based in the UK, I have been working as a freelance translator since September 2016. Working mainly in the automotive field, I handle a wide range of translations from technical documentation and manuals to presentations and marketing materials.
My qualifications include a BA in Linguistics & Japanese Studies, and level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT1). In the past, I have also worked as an auto mechanic and have qualifications in the field.
As a professional translator I aim to provide reliable and accurate, high quality translations that suit the needs of both the client and their end-users. I am confident that my experience and capabilities will prove beneficial to you and your clients.
