SLAVNI LOVAC
Po šumi, širom, bez staze, puta
Ježurka Ježić povazdan luta.
Lovom se bavi često ga vide,
s trista kopalja na juriš ide.
I vuk i medo, pa čak i – ovca,
poznaju ježa, slavnoga lovca.
Jastreb ga štuje, vuk mu se sklanja,
zmija ga šarka po svu noć sanja.
Pred njim dan hoda, širi se strava,
njegovim tragom putuje slava.

Ein ruhmreicher Jäger
Durch den Wald ohne Weg und Pfad,
Zieht Jeschi der Igel von Tag zu Tag.
Sie sehen ihn oft, wie er kundig der Jagd, Mit dreihundert Speeren den Angriff wagt.
Der Wolf, der Bär und sogar - das Schaf kennt
Jeschi, den man den ruhmreichen Jäger nennt.
Der Habicht ehrt ihn, der Wolf weicht ihm aus,
Hört die Schlange ihn schleichen bleibt sie lieber zu Haus’. Und während er schläft, erzählt man sich Geschichten,
Die von seinen berühmten Taten berichten.

I have been translating and interpreting from German <-> Croatian <-> Bosnian <-> Serbian since 2006 to finance my studies of Art History and New History in Berlin and Zagreb and gained a lot of experiences as a freelancer. My focus started to change and I got several grants that helped me change my focus into translation. 2015 I became a state-certified translator.
