This is from the description of an art exhibit, what will be projected on a giant screen. I don't feel comfortable with plant/botanical atmosphere, since the images being projected have nothing to do with plants. The artist's description does make it sound like a "vegetative atmosphere" ;-), but then the French would have said "ambiance végétative"...
Any help is greatly appreciated, as deadline is looming in the next hour or so.

Hi Mara, I know the kind of thing they are talking about ... have experienced it in some of the exhibits at the Swiss Expo 02, for example. Végétale instead of animale, which would be much more lively, passionate, moving --- and also, plants were there before animals. They are trying to get you to "sink back into your roots" which funnily enough gives you more of a grounded feeling than weightlessness, and yet ... by leaving your acting consciousness [which animals have, but not plants] behind ...
