phone interpreter rates Jan 16, 2008

the phone interpreter rates are determined by the minute, and they start any where from .30 to 60 cents per minute, depending on the company.

Three or four years ago, I was doing telephone interpreting here in the US. They used to pay U$30/hour, but by the second!!!!

For private clients I charge 65CAD per hour.

Hi Javier! They still pay the same, if you are lucky! Some companies only pay per round minute, meaning they do not pay 40 seconds, for instance....
