medical interpreters: sharing resources

Hello medical interpreters! I just passed the written DSHS exam to get my interpreter license here in Seattle, and I am dreading the oral exam.

Do you have any advice/materials for study? In particular, I would like to get my hands on some typical consent forms and other medical documents that are commonly used for sight translation.

Anything you might have in both Spanish and English would be greatly appreciated.

While whatever sample forms you might find there are probably forms specific to CA healthcare entities, the terms, concepts and expressions seem to be fairly common and standard in equivalent forms and documents used among other states of the US.

Hello Andy! Congratulations on your interpreter license in Seattle. I’m a certified translator specialized in medicine and pharmacological industry. I’m not an interpreter though I’m really interested in getting to be one someday.
I may recommend the argentine site www.intramed.net, where you can find the latest local news; and www.anmat.gov.ar, for the local sanitary regulations.
