Hi all,

Thanks for all of that! I do apologize for fretting like this in public. I was in shock because I felt like as if I was cheated...but then obviously instances like that could occur in any trade or industry.

I have accepted an amended quotation and they are now aware that moving forward, clarification is always needed....

同意你的意见。所以，报价时一定要写清是按译文中的 word 计还是按原文的 character 计。如果本来是想报 6.25¢ per Chinese character，但不经意写成 6.25¢/word，那就很容易被客户误解为（或故意曲解为） 6.25¢/English word。这样一来，吃亏就吃大了。当然，以上报价数字只是为举例方便而已。具体报价数字应根据具体情况而定。

前面 James_xia 的“接单过程要小心‘陷阱’”一帖，我除了不同意按照 Trados 的重复率给折扣外，其它都同意。当然，各人有各人的做法。也可同意按照 matches and repetitions 给折扣，但同时提高总的 rate。

Yes, I agree. You guys are doing a good job. Adsion is very effective too ... I've noticed.
