I wished that I have made it in an american idol show, that way perhaps it would have made some prudes laugh instead of feeling sorry for me.
What is the point? Do you really want me to make it more evident?
As to “american idol”, it sounds so familiar. Perhaps, those are the words you parroted from "an idol" who has been prohibited forever from speaking in this forum due to serious violations of the site rules.

What you are talking about, 孙大师?
I can see you are not a fan of American Idol.

I have noticed that you have some curious kind of obsession.
It's more than "figure large".

Figure large could mean obsession in a lesser degree, while an obsession could be more inordinate.
Please ask wherestip if I could possible be right.

dumont,
I agree with Yueyin. To avoid continuously straying off the main topic of this thread, as you yourself objected to, it would be much better to move this discussion to any of the above threads you started some time ago.

And BTW, dumont, if you were serious about the above, could you kindly rephrase what you wanted to ask me about? And this time in some type of language I could understand, please.

wherestip:
I know you sometimes cannot resist the temptation to lash out at people, people you for whatever reason dislike, barely know (for example, how much do you know the site owner?) or have had a history with, who have no proper defense for themselves due to various reasons such as they are not present.
Fortunately, I am here. And I don’t like to be painted as you would like to paint me into without an objection. I am sure you can understand that.

Fortunately, I am here. And I don’t like to be painted as you would like to paint me into without an objection. I am sure you can understand that.
Tried as I have to play the game with a light heart, such as when you talking about my activity at that site you say "it figures" (contemptuously, you forget being civil), I pretended to believe you are preoccupied with my name only (figure large) and not preoccupied with painting me into an ugly corner at the slightest chance.
Well, that goes. You will understand what I mean. If not, read the following.
I think there is an (inordinate) obsession with someone in connection with someone who has been banned.
So it goes: "Figure large is not as good as that obsession" or perhaps the poorer version: Figure large could mean obsession in a lesser degree, while an obsession could be more inordinate. ▲ Collapse

那可真让我大开了一场眼界(in a negative way, that is).

dumont,

Yueyin,
I appreciate you explaining what happened on my behalf. I'm sure a lot of people see it the same way.
lbone, for example, didn't have any problem understanding what the expression "That figures" meant in this context. I wasn't in anyway trying to be mean to, or lash out at anyone.
But since there was some confusion, perhaps due to the English idiom I used, I'm willing to take the responsibility for this misunderstanding.
