我觉得你想多了。也就是客户希望跟自己一起去的人形象能好些。
国内口译译员的简历中大概有一半带有照片，个人网站上也有。
几年前代客户招2个大会翻译，我没提过这事，但有一个应聘的还主动寄了张大照片来。
比较专业类的业务，还是有专业背景的好些。我那次招聘后的体验，万金油型的口译译员做会议主持不错，但专业讲座还是别指望他们了。

也許男人都好美色，但作爲口譯員，特別是會議口譯，要求長相較好也無可厚非，只是找到合適的人選就不太容易了
RE：PS：有些工作免費會員不是不可以接，而是要等12個小時後才可以。這也正常，不然誰還花給他們會員費？

口译当然也愿意给形象好的客户提供服务。站在“猪八戒”旁边心情不爽，没法提供高质量的服务。
她是第一个刷掉的。
因为是软件类的行业会议，我在招聘要求中要求应聘者提供一段以前翻译过的计算机类的样稿。我希望应聘者有这方面的经验。
这位从大会网站上复制了一段寄来。那段就是我翻译的。

一般的招聘启示后面都要加上: Women and disabled applicants are preferred if they have the same qualifications.
有一些好事的女权主义者认为这其实是在变相歧视女性，将她们和残疾人相提并论。

一般口译都是坐在专门为翻译指定的房间，戴着耳机同声传译，根本没人能看到你的脸。

中国招空中小姐要求年轻、漂亮，宛如选美。以前还总算招过一批下岗女工作为‘空嫂’，以后恐怕不会再有这样的事情了。 美国有许多空中服务员是四、五十岁甚至年龄更大的人。这在中国恐怕是不可能的事情。 实际上，最重要的是上乘的服务，而不是姿色。
国内的英语教科书或词典通常称空中小姐为 stewardess 或 air hostess。美国则早就不用这些称谓了，而称为 flight attendant。

在一个不完美的世界，歧视，不管是隐性的还是显性的，都是存在的。
那那些女权主义者想如何呢？不给她们这些优先条件她们更会叫唤。
还有，凭什么她们不能和残疾人相提并论？她们一方面觉得受歧视，一方面又在歧视别人。
