在和国外的翻译公司合作前，需要提供Professional Indemnity Insurance Certificate。请问大家遇到这种要求如何处理？问题摘录如下：
Do you have Professional Indemnity Insurance: Yes/No Amount: ………………………………..
PLEASE SEND A COPY OF YOUR CERTIFICATE WITH YOUR APPLICATION.

如果买Professional Indemnity Insurance，是到中国太保，平安还是别的保险公司购买？购买额度是多少？赔偿额度如何等？谢谢大家的答复。

Liability insurance for translators Jul 25, 2008

Professional Indemnity Insurance 也叫 Liability insurance。很多西方国家的翻译也没有这种翻译第三者责任险。记得PROZ的快速调查有一份问卷是：请问你有没有翻译第三者责任险，好像只有不到30%的回答是肯定的。

我自己有一份翻译第三者责任险，求个宽心。

如果是字数超过五千字，一个字40欧元以上的价值，毫不犹豫，除了买责任险之外，我还会买官司险，准备打官司之用。否则客户提出这种要求，等于是黄鼠狼给鸡拜年；我会像周丹那样，立即拒绝。
