I am a certified Greek translator, member of the Panhellenic Association of Professional Translators Graduates of the Ionian University (www.peempip.gr) . I am a native Greek, and I am working as a freelancer based in Athens, Greece. I am a holder of a BA in English and French translation and an MA in lexicography. My working languages include: English, French, Spanish, & Swedish. I offer translation, editing, proofreading, transcription, and localization services.

My academic career started at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting, Ionian University on Corfu island. I graduated in 2002 as a translator of English & French language specialized in legal-economic and technical documents. Between 2003-2005, I attended a post-graduate course on lexicography theory and practice at the Faculty of English Studies at the University of Athens. I studied Spanish at the Instituto Cervantes of Athens (atenas.cervantes.es), and Bulgarian at the Center of the Greek Committee of South-East European Studies (www.ekene.gr). I studied Swedish at the school of languages of Ahtens University and at the Svenska Språkföreningen i Aten. While still studying, I had the opportunity to spend 6 months in Montpellier, France and attend the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, at Paul Valery University, Montpellier III, in the framework of the compulsory vocational training before graduating. This has given me the opportunity to get a hands-on experience of French language as well as the culture and life of French people.

I started working in October 2001. Since that time, I have worked for numerous clients, including translation agencies, fellow translators, public organizations, companies, an NGO, and private individuals. I have experience in the translation of several fields including medical, pharmaceutical, legal, certificates, business, EU documents, cosmetics, marketing, human resources, energy, electrical and mechanical engineering, website and software localization, electronic devices manuals and other technical texts.

I use Trados Studio 2021, and Microsoft Office 365. I also use Wordfast, Memsource, XTM colud, Trsnslation Workspace and a variety of dictionaries (in printed, electronic or online format), as well as other references. When it comes to very specialized jargon, I have a network of consultants I can turn to for support, ranging from doctors and lawyers to civil engineers and IT experts. I also offer certified translations of English, French, Spanish and Swedish documents in collaboration with Greek lawyers, which is the Greek equivalent procedure for sworn translations.
