Hi Joanna, Yelena and any other prospective first-time attendees, There is absolutely no charge to attend one of our Nottingham powwows - you just pay for your own drinks at the pub and for lunch if you join us for that (if it rains but hopefully we will get our picnic this time). These are informal events for translators/interpreters to chat, get to know each other and network. These are informal events for translators/interpreters to chat, get to know each other and network. We tend to talk about translation software, hardware, languages in general, all manner of topics really. Look at past Nottingham powwow reports to find out more. We are a friendly bunch and look forward to meeting you All the best, Sarah PS. I will send out my mobile phone number nearer the time and will be walking to the picnic site from the city centre so am happy to meet you there so no-one gets lost. ▲ Collapse | | | Sarah Appleby (X) United Kingdom Local time: 12:35 German to English Final details of picnic | Aug 3, 2009 |
Hello all, I've finally got around to choosing a pub for after the picnic (or as an alternative venue in the event of rain!). If you haven't done so already, please update your attendance. For anyone who isn't sure of the way, I will be walking to the venue from Nottingham train station. Meet me in the main hall upstairs at 12.30 if you would like to walk with me. Best regards, Sarah PS. Will confirm whether the outdoor element is going ahead on Fri... Hi all, Even if the sun does shine tomorrow as forecast, the ground is going to be very boggy after last night's monsoon. So let's just meet at the pub (have updated the powwow information accordingly). It has a beer garden and if the weather is nice, we could always stroll down to the "Nottingham Riviera" (fake beach in Market Square!). See you tomorrow I hope, Sarah
Well, it looks like we shall be able to make it, unless something unforeseen happens. See you tomorrow.
