Meeting place Jul 10, 2006

Welcome everyone who's signed up so far and whoever will sign up later on

Needless to say, I'm banking on really nice weather for that saturday - hoping we could maybe take a stroll along the canal, maybe eventually settle in Regent's park for another niiiiiiiiice picnic.

I'm looking for opinions at the moment, with regards to time. Would 2pm be ok with everyone? Any time is going to be fine by me, really

I'm looking for opinions at the moment, with regards to time. Would 2pm be ok with everyone? Any time is going to be fine by me, really, so let me know if you'd prefer it to be later/ earlier. We'll vote

I've yet to decide on teh exact location. I'm toying with the idea of meeting up in a bar (again), just to make sure that everyone finds the place. There are countless places around Camden, so it's going to be very easy to choose.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

time... Jul 10, 2006

2pm sounds like a fine time - gives me ample time for the journey without having to get up terribly early!
What do you think?

Just to let you know... Jul 17, 2006

... I have to be back in East Grinstead by 7 pm, so unfortunately my time is a bit limited. But with the current weather situation it should still be a glorious afternoon.
And yes Olivia, you will probably get lots of calls the day before!

starbucks? Jul 19, 2006

shall we meet at the starbucks in the market? It could be ok, but the downside is I can't actually book anything. We could have a coffee there till 3 at the latest (and wait for everyone) and then maybe move on somewhere else? how does that sound?

For those who are not familiar with the area, the following map http://www.camdenlock.net/camdenmap/cmap.html shows you where the camden lock market is. The Starbucks is in one of the corners, the nearest one to the little bridge.

Let me know what you think. I'll send everyone my mobile phone number via email, just in case.

Meeting Place Jul 19, 2006

I'd rather avoid Starbucks and meet in an independent café. Will do a bit of research to come up with an alternative suggestion.

How about meeting at 2pm under the willow tree that's by the little pedestrian bridge over the canal? (the one next to the Ice Bar) Then we could all set off together at 2.30 or so to Regent's Park and find a shaded place for a spot of lunch?

we'll have to agree soon on how to meet or we'll miss each other! Jul 20, 2006

I recently had a nice coffee in a small café just across the road. It is not posh BUT is has Illy coffee! It was pretty empty which might be an advantage also.

I do not remember the name but it must be about 2 mins walk from Starbucks, it has lots of musical shows posters on the walls. What do you think? Anybody know its name?

Hasta lugo. Marta

Cafe Jul 20, 2006

I would suggest we do meet in some sort of cafe (and have a coffee ) before we head off. We do not have to stay there too long but it does provide a good meeting point.
I do not know the names of all the venues there but I am sure Alina will suggest a good one!

How about... Jul 20, 2006

Marta, where exactly is the cafe you were talking about? A small and quiet one would be nice. I know a couple, too, but don't know their names and would be wary that people cannot find them if they don't know what I'm talking about.
