Japanese term

モノ作りの原点を支える

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial
This is just a catch phrase for a company. The meaning is easy to understand, but I'm having trouble finding a natural English equivalent. Any ideas?

supporting the fundamentals/basics of manufacturing

This seems like a popular phrase in Japanese, for example:

Here, I think 原点を支える implies that it's very important elements in manufacturing. So, "fundamentals" may be better.
