"a stivaletto" refers to "scarpa" not to "suola": "la scarpa deve essere robusta, ammortizzata, con suola rigida e deve essere a stivaletto".

c'è il rischio di ripetizione della parola "ankle" se completi la frase con riferimento alla protezione della caviglia

allora, meglio high-top come suggerisce Raffaella
