I know what "in fuori" means, I just can't find the right way to say it in English. For the arm I thought of "palm facing up" but it's a tad awkward, particularly when "braccio in fuori" crops up a second time.
Any ideas?

Panagiotis Andrias (X)

stretch out
'in fuori' means in this case not extended, in a V position.

flexed knee / arm stretched outwards
Hi Carly,
perhaps it would be clearer if you used "right" and "left" arm and leg, e.g.
Lie on your back, bend right leg, foot on the floor. Place left foot on **flexed** right knee. With left arm **stretched outwards*** place right hand behind the name of your neck. etc. etc.
A familiar tummy-firming exercise :-)

sorry, typo: that should be "nape of your neck"!

Mara Ballarini
: you're right Sarah, the original isn't too clear itself - the exercise is familiar, though, :-), or I wouldn't have been able to understand what to do from the Italian explanation. On the other hand, the way you've put it is very clear!

thanks Mara. Yes, I had to draw it to figure out what it was on about!
