"Processo per realizzazione elementi d'arredo"

Thank you very much!

Discussion

Patricia González Schütz (asker) Apr 18, 2013:
Components, units, elements, items, I think they're all the same, they give the idea. It's the first part of Tom's answer that's a little more accurate as he uses the term "manufacturing process". The word "manufacturing" is frequently found or used when requesting grants for invention patents. I don't think you are in error Fabio, and many thanks again!
Fabio Barbieri Apr 18, 2013:
Patricia, in that case, ignore my proposed solution. I had not understood what "elementi d'arredo" meant.
Patricia González Schütz (asker) Apr 18, 2013:
I think "furniture" is fine and it's broad enough; it covers everything.
Linda Thody Apr 18, 2013:
Furnishings? Then perhaps, rather than furniture? What do you think Tom?
Patricia González Schütz (asker) Apr 18, 2013:
Hi Linda and Tom (just saw your note), I think I've been too vague, but since it deals with an invention patent I'm a little cautious. Anyway, they treat a given surface, like for example a wooden panel, metallic panels, etc, they then transfer any given image ( could be vector images, pictures, etc.) into this panel and finally they do the "finishing" with different types of varnishes. They call the final product "elementi d'arredo". Another example could be if you want to stamp your own daughter's picture on your room's door for example, they'll do it, practically anywhere you want, even in your kitchen's table.
My apologies and hope I've been clear now.
Tom in London Apr 18, 2013:
Indeed... ... they could be components of furniture or they could be furnishing items like vases, drapes, carpets....we don't know. My suggestion is a guess.
Linda Thody Apr 18, 2013:
Elementi d'arredo What exactly are they making Patricia? I'm just wondering how they make furniture with a four colour printing process? Are the elementi d'arredo perhaps pictures, posters, mirrors, rugs, curtains, tapestries even? These are but two of five recognised categories

manufacturing process for furniture components

since it seems this is a guessing game, here's my guess!
Note from asker:
Thank you for your answer Tom! In what sense this is a guessing game? I'm not following you. If you need any clarifications I'm here, in the sense that I really want the best translation for this title and I feel unsure about mine.
Peer comment(s):

agree Linda Thody : manufacturing process for furnishings perhaps? I see asker prefers furniture so definitely agree with your furniture components given further context provided!

Italian term (edited): “Processo per realizzazione elementi d'arredo”

procedure to make furniture units

this seems to me a sufficiently smooth and clear description (this is a patent, not a piece of fine prose)
Note from asker:
Yes indeed! Thank you for your effort Fabio.
