Claudia Luque Bedregal (asker) Feb 15, 2016:

in real parts

I'm fairly sure this is it. Lots of hits.

In my mind, the decision to perform ‘in real parts’, in accordance with the
fruits of R. Maunder’s studies, has helped us recover the desired simplicity
of gesture and transparency of sound, thereby revealing the underlying
structure for so long buried beneath a heavy load of ornamentation and
excess.

Through him the old approved rules of part-writing again
came to be duly honoured, with such modifications, it is true,
as were rendered necessary by the alteration in the tone
material, and it was Bach who once more taught the organ
and clavier composers to write as a rule in real parts, and
to keep the same, number of parts throughout a whole piece.
