This is from an acceptance letter from an Ethics Committee (Comitato Etico) regarding a clinical trial. The document has a section of Appendices (allegati) of which one is titled "Copertina dell'Osservatorio contenente il numero EudraCT; "

What is Osservatorio in this context, and how can I translate *Copertina dell'Osservatorio*? I believe it may have to do with the "Osservatorio nazionale sulla sperimentazione clinica dei medicinali" but I'm not sure how to use this for my phrase. Grazie per l'aiuto!

English translation I was just checking this out for a recent Kudoz question, and the OsSC is actually inconsistent over the translation it uses. The English home page still (or now?) uses National Monitoring Centre for Clinical Trials:

Having said that, personally I prefer National Clinical Trials Database, as it sounds more idiomatic, and that is still the version used in the FAQ page linked to by Joseph.

New Information While doing another translation, I came across the English-language page of the 'Osservatorio.' Its full name is Osservatorio Nazionale sulla Sperimentazione Clinica - OsSC, and the English translation they themselves use is "National Clinical Trials Database ". See links below.
