Discussion

James (Jim) Davis Nov 18, 2009:
Claudio I'd go for voluntary, whiy don't you post it? Something voluntary supervision. I tried to buy some shares in my bank once and a window popped up telling me there was a conflict of interest, cos I translate for them. That is it supervision or monitoring that they do. It is sort of voluntary.
claudiocambon Nov 18, 2009:
Voluntary compliance? I'm not sure if this is in essence the same thing said differently, namely that an entity complies on its own without being forced to do so, or this that a different kind of autonomy than what is being talked about here?
Valeria Faber Nov 18, 2009:
yes I think so, but please wait for "supervision"! ;-)
Paul O'Brien (asker) Nov 18, 2009:
ha! self-supervision? what do you reckon, val?
Valeria Faber Nov 18, 2009:
.. credo sia qualcosa tipo "autocertificata", "non sottoposta a supervisione"

self-monitoring

I'd plump for something like this in the absence of specialist input

self-assessment

I could be wrong, but autocontrollo could definitely mean self-assessment. Just not sure if it would fit in this context.
