According to a (badly translated) Italian website I found, it appears to be some kind of fee to use the pasture land. That could fit in the context, but can anyone confirm this or come up with a better solution? Many thanks in advance:

: If nothing better is available. Tithe"'s main meaning is the church's tax, "decima". "Grazing" is very generic and could well be a translation for "pascolatico" or "fida", while "ghiandatico" is much more specific to pigs eating acorns.

Here are a couple of excerpts from links (one a blog) mentioning the Italian and the English (however tentative) translation:
'That was the time when the Northern planes were covered by great oak forests, producing large amounts of acorns, the pigs' favourite food. Swines used to confer value to the woods, the latter being appraised by the market according to the number of pigs that could pasture there. And for the said grazing a "ghiandatico" (pasture-related fee) was paid.

The entry in the Wörterbuch der Landwirtschaft (Dictionary of Agriculture) for 'diritto di ghiandatico' is 'right of woodland grazing' or 'right of forest pasture'.

Yes. I don't know how to translate it, but the ending is a clear give-away, it's like legnatico and so on. A tax to be allowed to let your pigs eat the acorns in the woods.
