I cannot clearly understand what they mean by "prova" in this expression, whether it is the evidence, the hearing or...even something else.
The judge claims "la prova e` conclusa" at the end of the hearing and also "e` una prova diabolica quella che mi vuole dare". What do you think the word means? What should the English version be for this expression? Thanks for your help!

Discussion
I wonder if "conclusive evidence" is another good possibility. The fact that the judge claims "La prova e' conclusa" at the end of the transcript seems to support your suggestion, though.
