massive transfers // mass transfers

nel senso di massiccio, masse di trasferimenti tutte insieme, per i fattori scatenanti descritti. Suppongo.
Note from asker:
thanks, looking through the various uses in the text, which is strange in itself and appears they use this term alternatively to "funds", however this makes sense as well, will use it mass transfer of funds.

(esepcially/unusually) large movements

I haven't heard 'mass' used to describe a movement in the value of a security, but I have heard 'large'. You could add a qualifier ('especially', 'particularly', 'unusually' etc) to give a sense of scale.
From a Goldman Sachs press release, seems to be part of a waiver/disclaimer in this case:
http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20150910006011/en/Gold...

"Derivative instruments may involve a high degree of financial risk, including the risk that a small movement in the price of the underlying security or benchmark may result in a disproportionately large movement, unfavorable or favorable, in the price of the derivative instrument"
Example sentence:

small movement in the price of the underlying security or benchmark may result in a disproportionately large movement, unfavorable or favorable, in the price of the derivative instrument
