Italian term

fructus

Italian to English Other Food & Drink supplements
I am translating the label of a berry supplement. What specifically is meant by fructus here:

Ingredienti. Isomaltulosio (*) - Estratto di XX titolato al 36% in antocianosidi totali, fructus (27% di estratto sul prodotto finito) - Agente di rivestimento:...

Does it just mean the fruit?

Discussion

Daniel Saville Jan 29, 2013:
I agree, it seems to be a Latin term but in the context it probably just means fruit
philgoddard Jan 29, 2013:
I wonder whether it's like some products that contain a lot of water, but they say "aqua" to make it sound better.
