Sto qui con una domanda su come meglio tradurre "secolare" inteso, se non sbaglio, come "century-old", o avente da fare con un secolo. Riguardo la economia. Quindi, un trend secolare, un movimento dell'economia (rialzo o abbassamento) 'secolare'... Ecco qui un esempio:
"Anche per Demaria, il sistema elaborato da Moore poteva solo costituire un valido punto di partenza per comprendere le forze del movimento economico, quello che veniva a mancare era la spiegazione della tendenza secolare delle variabili che veniva assunta semplicemente come un trend esogeno".
My try:
"For Demaria, too, the system created by Moore could only constitute a valid point of departure in order to understand the forces of the economic movement, what it came to lack was the explanation of the centennial tendency of the variables that was viewed simply as an external trend."
