I don't think you should find a subtler way of saying it, and that was only my slightly tongue-in-cheek opinion. 'Branded sitcom' gets plenty of hits and describes the product effectively.

I'm not a native speaker so I'm not qualified to judge, but "commerciale" seems an odd way of describing it, unless it's analogous to the English "commercial" meaning "TV advertising". I would have expected something like "sit-com pubblicitario" or "sit-com di marca".
With regard to SIT-COM COMMERCIALE, this is a real sit-com, with short episodes, a plot and actors, but it is created to advertise a brand and a product.
So I guess Phil's is closer up to now, unless we have a more precise way to describe this.
Of course, this is just my idea because I don't have any other context. Hope it makes sense.
