returned to his/her Maker
"He returned to his Maker after a long life..."
"William Putnam Love Jr., 94, returned to his Maker on Jan. 19, 2010".
"She was only a few days pass twenty-one when, September 19, 1885, she returned to her Maker..."

"It was our fortune to attend the service today not only to celebrate the lives Chris touched, but to remember something that I am absolutely sure that she would agree with: God wants us, and we want God. Whether on the surface we know that or not, our spirit, our true selves, knows it.
And so death is a brief parting in the grand scheme of things.... she has returned to her Maker, as her soul wanted to do, as we will all do some day."

: Úr = Lord. Teremtő = Maker. Isten=God. Krisztus = Christ.

Good afternoon: Jó délutánt! Isten hozott: God brought you. (God delivered you - még érdekesebb!) Holy mackerel!....

got saved / received the Lord
A kifejezés a Jézus általi megváltásra utal, amire ez a két leggyakoribb kifejezés angolul.

Most láttam, hogy elhunyt személyről van szó. Ez esetben "went to be with the Lord".

Example sentence:
He got saved/received the Lord two years ago.

The Lord has taken him/her home
Fits your context in many cases. Makes death sound a little easier, at least.

Friss a fülemben. Jobban szerettem volna a "The Lord has called him home", a tiédnek unokatesóját.//Szitkozódás nincs.

Félig igen, de félig komolyan is, hisz a két emberi nyelv közti párhuzam valahogy így jön le nekem, nyelvcsalád ide vagy oda. Vagy mégiscsak testvérek?

Well, Jim had me curious (on more than just one level). I ran the Google search on both my suggestion and his, and here are the results, for what it's worth:
- about 96,500,000 for "went to be with the lord" (0.27 seconds)
- about 149,000 for "the lord has taken him home" (0.40 seconds)
Also, found about 86,300,000 for "returned to be with the lord" (0.28 seconds)
---
Lastly, I've come across this (US) site:
"Death, in other words - The Rev. Jim Boehm's list of phrases compiled from obituaries collected between 2004 and 2006"
