"Szabad felhasználású szoftverkomponens alatt azon harmadik személyektől származó kód, alkotórész, összetevő, futtatási környezet, szoftver-illesztőfelület, rendszerdokumentáció, audiovizuális objektum vagy egyéb szoftver (továbbiakban együttesen: “Szoftvertechnológia”) értendő, melyet a Vállalkozó az ezen Szoftvertechnológiára vonatkozó licence feltételek rendelkezéseinek megfelelően jogosult saját fejlesztésű szoftverrendszereibe beépíteni, vagy azokkal függőségi kapcsolatot létesítve összekapcsolni vagy egyéb módon felhasználni, illetve azzal együtt terjeszteni, ide értve minden olyan a Szoftver vagy a Működési Környezet részeként szállított harmadik személyektől származó Szoftvertechnológiát amely a Szoftver hibamentes működéséhez feltétlenül szükséges."

„A freeware olyan, a szerzői jog által védett szoftver, ami ingyen használható, tetszőlegesen hosszú ideig (szemben a shareware-rel, ami szintén ingyenes, de csak korlátos ideig használható). A freeware (ingyenes szoftver) nem összekeverendő a szabad szoftverrel (free software), ami bármilyen célra szabadon felhasználható, és szabadon módosítható: a freeware felhasználási módja gyakran korlátozott, például otthoni, nemkereskedelmi vagy tudományos használatra. : Nincs olyan, hogy "freely usable software", olyan meg pláne nincs, hogy "freely usable software component". A megadott példa sem illik ide.
