Engineering (general)
Security systems, locks

(secure) multi-point (bar) lock
The truth is these aren't really used that much in domestic settings in the UK as people don't take security as seriously as in Hungary. These are mainly sold for commercial premises and locations in need of serious security measures.
As these exist in many different forms with anywhere from 2-8 locking points it's probably best to simply use 'multi-point (door) lock'.

There's also a thing called The Katy bar (r), but this is not well known, and as the advertising makes clear this is something non-standard for the average householder http://www.securityproductsinc.com/products/Katy.htm

Taking Juvera's feedback on board, a clearer description of the form of the multi-point bar lock could simply be 'Vertical/Horizontal Rod Lock'.

Example sentence:
Multi-point locking bolts the door to the frame at up to four independent locations. The typical break-in occurs when a burglar tries to pry the door from the frame at the lock area. Multi-point locking defeats this method by protecting like a bar

Thank you so much for your interesting comment on the difference between security in Hungary and the UK |

: You are right about what you are saying, but a multipoint bar lock can also be a long lock at the edge of the door with 2-3 horizontal locking bolts, and that would not be right.

deadbolt lock
I had a "hevederzár" when I was living in Hungary, so I remember what it is. A "deadbolt lock" is similar in that it's a sturdier lock than a simple "doorknob/door-handle lock" and you need a special key to open it.

Here's a little bit from Wikipedia:
"A deadbolt or deadlock, is a locking mechanism, providing more security than an ordinary key-operated lock because the weight of the locking bar is usually sufficient to increase break-in time to 10 or 15 minutes."
