To Interior height Thank you all, your answers were very useful, I took the interior height and the floor-to-ceiling height. Could anyone tell me, pls, how do I give you points for these? Interior height vagy headroom A head room (noha sokszor írják egybe is) az Illustrated Construction Dictionary szerint gyakorisági sorrendben: 1/ The vertical distance or space, allowable for passage, as in a room or under a doorway; 2/ The space between the top of one's head and the nearest obstacle above it, as inside a vehicle; 3/ The unobstructed vertical space between a stair tread and the ceiling or stairs above; 4/ The distance between the top of the finished floor to the bottom of the finished ceiling.
Ezenkívül gyakran használják az internal heightot is, meg a clearance heightot is. Az Épitőipari műszaki értelmező szótár szerint internal height.
A fordításban ilyenkor azt kell használni, ami legkevésbé félreérthető és aminek nincs több jelentése, természetesen a célterület nyevének figyelembevételével.
Karmano kolléga a headroomot javsoltad, ami rendben, mégis a magyarázatodban az interior heightot véded, amit a külügyminisztérium használ. Szerintem a külügyminisztériumban jobban értenek a külpolitikához, ezért is használják a politikai zamatú interior szót.
Azért választottam a floor-to-ceiling heightot, mert az minden mást kizár, és pontosság kedvéért építészeti tervrajzokban is használják.
