Market valuation report
Hello,
This is comes from the title of a column in a market valuation report for commercial property:
vide, en blanc ou loué; I gather en blanc refers to a building project that is to go ahead even though tenants have not been found. I can't seem to find an English equivalent though, any ideas?
thanks,
Anne

: from the good old days on Kudoz. reliable answerers, reliable peer comments/nothing personal meant-and welcome to Proz and Kudoz. There used to be a lot of very reliable people who answered. There are still reliable people now, but many not as many..

Thanks, writeaway... sorry we don't live up to your expectations, us newbies :-)
No offence taken! Forums (fora?) evolve, people come and go... hope Anne doesn't mind that we've hijacked her thread!

Discussion
I've have learned so much in the past few years on ProZ and continue to expand my knowledge evermore so as the years go on. I've met some wonderful people on here.
I've made my share of mistakes, but they were necessary for me to learn. We all have to err to improve our translation abilities.
And so, this is not just a place to get precise translations, but a place for never-ending learning.
Sometimes, there are those who forget how difficult translation is. When someone contributes in earnest but proposes an incorrect translation, we shouldn't stab them and make them feel incompetent. There is no perfect translator, as translation is one of the hardest things in the world. But we can politely disagree (as we should) and perhaps discourage confidance levels of 5 in general, even if it's your field of expertise. LOL.
Also there is one contributor with incredible financial expertise who still contributes but not as much as he used to.
