I presume that the perspective in this case means the graphic artist's viewpoint or signature style. I don't think perspective is very clear in EN, since in the visual it has more to do with three-point perspective, for instance.

Sorry, the proper ref is in a journal published by Wiley Science: 'Colour research & Application'. I cant get hold of the full text but it is in Vol 10 issue 1 pp5-11 (2009) and is written by one W. Spillman.

agree Helen Shiner : I agree that this is a good translation, but I must admit I don't know what the author means! Maybe rational in the sense of rationalised, or pared down?
