French to English Tech/Engineering Metrology force sensors -workability meter
Hello all,

I'm working on a file describing bitumen tests.

One test involves a workability meter. Below is the text (only text about this test):

I'm not sure how to translate "tension" or "bornes" for a sensor.

Many thanks.

although you might expect an instrument measuring force to be capable of measuring tension, there are a couple of giveaways: "lame de poussée" implies thrust, not tension, and the "conditionneur" is almost certainly a signal conditioner (filters to remove mains hum and other noise sources, etc.), hence the "bornes" must be electrical terminals, and hence "tension" must be voltage, not tension.
