This comes from a document describing anti-bacterial tap and shower filters for hospital use. Is "noyau central" here, the shower rose?
La conception de la surface de la membrane par des plis de hauteurs différentes permet d‘éviter l’écrasement des plis, d’éviter la restriction du débit au niveau du noyau central et d’augmenter la surface de filtration.
