This term is taken from a thesis on Perthes disease. It appears in the Pathological Anatomy section, under the heading
Lésion trachéo-bronchigue
Elles sont rares, elles peuvent être Complètes ou incomplètes et peuvent être en rapport avec une traction sur la carène, embrochage de la trachée au cours des fractures costales ou claviculaires ou un écrasement entre le sternum et le rachis [36].la tomographie permet une meilleurs visualisation de la trachée et des bronches souches. Son diagnostic repose sur la bronchoscopie [37].
I think that carène is 'carina tracheae' and traction the same in English but am not certain. Any help would be appreciated!
