French term

adhésion au discours

French to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research reports/surveys
The context is a report on physician's responses to a pharmaceutical company's marketing of a particular drug. One of the subtitles in the report is "Structure de la communication et adhésion au discours". Other sample sentences are:

Is there a special term for this or is it simply "adherence to discourse"?

positive response to (marketing) approach/stance/position

Perhaps not the best way to word it, but the context would indicate that they're talking about the degree to which doctors subscribe to the information.

I really think they're talking about the doctors' acceptance of/agreement with what they're being "sold". You might use "agreement/acceptance of etc.". There is probably a specific marketing term for this.

Here is the French expression as used on the site of Ipsos, a market research group:

agree Charlie Bavington : I agree with your interpretation of what they're talking about, and I've used "acceptance" in the past in similar contexts.

registration or attendance

I understand this to mean the registration or attendance at the 'discours' - speeches, seminars, or however you translate it.

Hope this helps!

developing convincing arguments

I think maybe you need to change the wording to fit the different uses. The title could be 'developing convincing arguments' for example and then 'the use of more traditional arguments leads to a reduction in the level of agreement or a higher level ...' to convince or persuade the doctor's, depending on the context.

agree Charlie Bavington : I think that your "argument" combined with Anna's "acceptance" is a promising line that the Asker could follow....
