French term

signature individuelle

French to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) assets
This is used throughout the contract to describe an associate or managers authority

I did just have the manager/associate has individual signature

there are times it also says on the other hand that the partner or manager is sans signature

I know it has to do with their authority but i dont know if individual signature is used in legal terms

Otherwise something along the lines of independent authorisation?

thanks

Sorry all you are quite right. This sentence is used about 30 or 40 times throughout this enormous contract but yes i can give an example

Nominations:

Mr X fondateur, est nomme a la fonction de gerant. Il exercera la signature individuelle.

its many examples throughout of different people who do or dont have this or sometimes its joint

Totally agree People helping you need to see the phrase within its context. Please post the whole sentence. Thanks!
writeaway Feb 26, 2011:
please post the full sentence in French. Imo, it's not fair to expect people to guess just because there isn't enough context to show exactly how it's used.

authority to sign as a sole signatory

See http://www.proz.com/kudoz/english_to_french/law_patents/5490...

This appears to be where a manager, etc., is entitled to bind the company on his/her own without needing a co-signatory.
Example sentence:

"...* sauf contre-indication, par un membre du comité avec signature individuelle ou deux membres du comité avec signature collective à deux, etc."
