French term

actionnaire entrepreneur

French to English Bus/Financial Investment / Securities development capital
This is the business owner who is bringing the financial investor into the company's capital. But the right title is not coming to me. Here it is in context, though not the best example:

"Ces actionnaires minoritaires peuvent être des actionnaires familiaux qui ne désirent plus rester au capital de la société ou bien des investisseurs financiers qui, après avoir accom-pagné l’actionnaire entrepreneur pendant quelques années, cherchent à extérioriser leur plus-value."

managing shareholder

This is the term that comes to my mind. Lots of refs on google (even after you filter out the term "managing shareholder value")

shareholding entrepreneur

"The main shareholding entrepreneur, without which the enterprise would not exist, faces a progressive tax regime 10% at £1M or less and 18% for the rest. All that needed to be done to prevent private equity bosses and appointee chairman to enjoy the 10% break was to make this break only applicable to full time employees."

neutral writeaway : but the French is actionnaire entrepreneur, which means that entrpreneur is more likely to play an adjective role ;-)
