French term

ce cas, la propriété dedes BREVETS NOUVEAUX

French to English Law/Patents General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters typo
Hello everyone!
This is from a contract. The full text is as follows:
Cette disposition ne s’applique pas en cas de changement de contrôle de XXX ou de XXX, en totalité ou en partie, ce cas, la propriété dedes BREVETS NOUVEAUX.

This provision does not apply in the case of a change in control of XXX or of XXX, in whole or in part, in this case, the ownership of ... NEW PATENTS.

I'm really puzzled by "dedes", and there were no entries in the glossaries. Is this a typo for "desdits" ?
I thank you all for your help in advance!

Thank you, Nikki, this whole section was giving me trouble. I think I will follow your advice and check with the client!
Nikki Scott-Despaigne May 26, 2012:
", ce cas," Is there any explanation for the rather odd "ce cas" in the text? Perhaps it's a nice original typo for the ProZ post, or something from the original. If it's from the original, I'd check with the client.

des

seems obvious to me that it's a typo, the author wanted to write "de" then realized that it was in the plural and changed it to "des" forgetting to delete "de". Mystery solved? :o)
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : Wel, yes, it does seem obvious... though i'm also worrying about that lone 'ce cas' which seems to be stuck in there rather oddly too...

agree Sian Cooper : Yes, I think it is supposed to be 'de/des' - just the slash missing from standard wording
