French term

arrivee en force

French to English Marketing Furniture / Household Appliances coffee machines
La fin des années 50 va être marquée par l’arrivée en force de l’expresso à l’italienne.

I'm looking for some ideas as I'm drawing a blank. What kind of modifier could go with 'arrival' or then I started thinking maybe 'breakout' but that's not really it...

Any help would be much appreciated!

tidal wave of Italian coffee

Yum!

Is it so much the massive arrival of the coffee or the massive uptake of the coffee by the people? Upswing, boom, upsurge, flood, etc.

Any play on words with "force" (strong coffee?) You could always play with "robust(a)".
