Cakes and fillings
Does anyone know what you call chocolate chips and pieces of fruit, etc. that are suspended in cakes like muffins and pound cake, this translation calls them “marquants” and I can’t for the life of me think of the English word, they’re not fillings or toppings so what are they called!
Any help would be most appreciated.
Les références « Instant » ont un effet suspensoïde pour les ***marquants*** (morceaux de fruits, pépites de chocolat...).

types/varieties
variations may also be possible...as in the different types/varieties, etc. of items that go into the product to make it different than the others. Just a thought!

additions
Baking additions, often optional additions in baking recipes. Change the addition, change the taste and personalize the recipe.
All of my recipe books have lists of additions for cookies, cakes, muffins etc. A link to an example of oatmeal cookies below.
Additions (marquants) can be left out of a recipe without spoiling the recipe, but the flavor will be different, that's for sure. They are called "marquants" because they give a specific flavor to the baked good, they 'mark' the tasty morsel that you have just made!
